Balmuna's Vision

Balmuna in the language of Gumbaynggirr means to “be strong” and speaks to what the program strives to build, strength in our young mob.

The Balmuna youth mentoring program acknowledges the complex identities of each young person and embraces their authenticity. We acknowledge the rich and sacred wisdom our old people share that nurture our young mob. We strive towards developing values and believe in building strong and thriving individuals.

The Balmuna youth mentoring program operates on the Wurundjeri lands of the Kuiln Nations and pays respects to the true sovereign owners. We acknowledge all elders and value their wisdom that will guide, shape, and nurture our communities, children and young people.
